ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Depart from the USA

Board your overnight transatlantic flight (cost not included in land only price).

DAY 2 - Arrive in London, England

Your day is at leisure.

DAY 3 - London / Stonehenge / Plymouth

Visit Stonehenge and see Salisbury cathedral. On to Plymouth. Enjoy a British pub meal and drinks at a Welcome Pub Reception. (Continental Breakfast, Welcome Pub Reception)

DAY 4 - Cornish Excursion

View the Mayflower steps and the Royal Citadel. On to St. Ives, the artists’ colony. See St. Michael’s Mount, then back to Plymouth. (Breakfast)

DAY 5 - Plymouth / Cardiff, Wales

In Bovey Tracey, visit the Riverside Mill with the contempory crafts of The Devon Guild of Craftsmen. Savor a You’re Personally Invited Lunch on a working dairy farm. On to Bath for a visit, then, head to Cardiff. (Breakfast, Personally Invited)

DAY 6 - Cardiff / Liverpool, England

Stop to view the ruins of Tintern Abbey. Then on to Chester for a walking tour including views of the “Rows.” In Liverpool, take a Beatles drive with a Local Expert. (Breakfast)

DAY 7 - Liverpool / Glasgow, Scotland

Drive through ideal Lake District scenery, along Lake Windermere and on to Scotland. In Glasgow, relish a Highlight Dinner of Scottish fare. (Breakfast, Highlight Dinner)

DAY 8 - Glasgow / Scottish Highlands

Travel along Loch Lomond to Glencoe. Stop at the Commando Memorial for views of Ben Nevis. Then head into the Highlands. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Visit Crathie Church and Balmoral Castle (when closed, visit Glamis Castle). On to St. Andrews, where golf was “born.” Then cross to Edinburgh. During the Edinburgh Festival, tickets to the Military Tattoo are included. (Breakfast)

DAY 11 - Edinburgh Sightseeing & at Leisure

Visit Edinburgh Castle and view Holyrood House and more. The rest of the day is free. (Breakfast)

DAY 12 - Edinburgh / York, England

Cross back into England. In York, a walking tour includes views of the Shambles and York Minster. Later, savor a Farewell Dinner. (Breakfast, Farewell Dinner)

DAY 13 - York / Stratford / Oxford / London

Visit Shakespeare’s birthplace, then see Anne Hathaway’s cottage. In Oxford, visit one of the colleges. Later, return to London. (Breakfast)
