In addition to being Scotland’s second deepest loch, the scenery as you sail down the loch is almost eerie. Set off early this morning as you make your way up to the northern coast of Scotland, part of the “North Coast 500.” Here, you’ll find Smoo Cave, a dramatic sea cave set into limestone cliffs. The cave can be explored by boat or foot path, and it boasts one of the largest sea cave entrances in Britain at 50 feet high! If the weather is nice, head over to Golden Eagle Zipline. (No reservation is needed, as this is a weather dependent activity. Simply show up.) Head back down to Inverness and enjoy another night in your beautiful Inverness hotel.

As part of Tay Forest Park, from here you may embark on one of several walking trails throughout the peaceful surrounding woodlands of Allean Forest, or explore the tranquil trails through the majestic trees surrounding Loch Dunmore in Faskally. After you’ve enjoyed the fresh air and breathtaking scenery, continue to Blair Athol, located in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, where you’ll embark on a tour of the distillery complete with tutored whisky tastings before returning to your charming accommodation for the evening.
